With so many supplements out there, why does DAKE even include Vitamin A?Updated 21 days ago

Vitamin A doesn't get the cultural moment that Vitamin D or magnesium gets right now — but it's quietly one of the most commonly suboptimal fat-soluble nutrients in modern diets, and its absence creates a real ceiling on what the other fat-soluble vitamins can do. 

Here's the practical reality: the foods that actually deliver preformed Vitamin A — liver, cod liver oil, full-fat dairy, egg yolks — have been systematically reduced in most people's diets over the last few decades. Low-fat dietary guidance, reduced organ meat consumption, and the rise of plant-forward eating all contribute.
