Why does DAKE use tocotrienols instead of standard Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol)?Updated 17 days ago
This is one of the most common misconceptions in the supplement world. Vitamin E is actually a family of eight related compounds — four tocopherols and four tocotrienols — and the differences between them are biologically significant, not just technical.
The vast majority of Vitamin E supplements on the market use alpha-tocopherol, the form that was studied earliest and became the default. But research over the last two decades has increasingly pointed to tocotrienols — particularly the delta and gamma forms — as having distinct and in some cases superior activity for cardiovascular protection, inflammation modulation, and neuroprotection. DAKE uses tocotrienols specifically because that's where the more compelling science sits, not because it's the cheapest or most familiar form.
