I've heard Vitamin A can be hard on the liver. Should I be concerned?Updated 21 days ago

This is a fair question and worth addressing directly. Vitamin A toxicity — called hypervitaminosis A — is a real condition, but it's associated with chronic, significantly excessive intake, typically from megadose supplementation (think 10,000–25,000 IU daily for extended periods) or in rare cases, extreme dietary patterns. At 1,515 mcg per day, DAKE is well below the levels linked to liver stress in the research literature.

For most healthy adults, the liver handles preformed Vitamin A efficiently as long as intake stays within reasonable range. If you have pre-existing liver conditions, are pregnant, or are taking medications that affect liver metabolism, that's a conversation to have with your doctor before starting. For everyone else, bloodwork is the smart check.
