Can I take DAKE if I’m on blood-thinning medication like warfarin?Updated 2 months ago

If you are currently taking warfarin (Coumadin) or any other anticoagulant medication, do not start DAKE without first consulting your prescribing physician. This is not general caution language — it is a hard stop.

Vitamin K plays a direct role in the synthesis of clotting factors, and warfarin works specifically by interfering with that process. Your physician manages your warfarin dose against a target INR range, and any meaningful change in Vitamin K intake — in either direction — can shift that balance and affect how your medication performs. DAKE contains 2,000 mcg of Vitamin K across two forms, which is a clinically significant amount in this context.

This does not mean people on anticoagulants can never use Vitamin K supplements — some physicians manage patients on a consistent Vitamin K intake alongside adjusted warfarin dosing. But that is a decision that must be made with your doctor, not independently.
